Endangered Australian Birds

This series of encaustic paintings focuses on Australian bird species currently facing the threat of extinction. Each work explores the relationship between material and subject, where wax—both preservative and luminous—holds the image in a state of suspension. The paintings act as quiet records of species under pressure, reflecting the fragility of ecosystems and the ongoing loss of habitat across the Australian landscape.
